(About Sagar Island)-Sagar island is a part of sundarbans although it doesn't have any tigger habitation or Mangrove forest or small river tribution as is characteristic of the overall sundarban Delta. Sagar island is an island in the Ganges Delta, lying on the centinctal shelf of Bay of Bengal about 100k.M south of kolkata. This island under the sagar CD Block  in kandipa sub divion of south 24 paraganas district in the Indian state  of West Bengal. This island known as Ganga sagar Or sagar island.
